Tom Campbell

Tom Campbell

President and Chief Executive Officer

A licensed professional counselor and a nationally certified counselor, Tom Campbell began his career at Family Service in 1996, when he started as a clinical intern at what was then Family Service of High Point. He is a graduate of North Carolina State University with a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and holds a master's degree in community counseling from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Tom serves on several nonprofit boards and committees, including the High Point Children’s Cabinet, Alliance for Children and Families Senior Leadership Conference Steering Committee, UNCG’s Counselor Education Advisory Board and Master of Public Administration Advisory Board, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University’s Agency and School Counseling Board, Guilford Green Foundation Advisory Board, Ready for School Ready for Life Steering Committee and Guilford County Healthy Relationships Initiative Steering Committee. In 2011, Tom received the UNCG School of Education Distinguished Career Award.

Steve Hess

Chief Program Officer

Steve Hess came to Family Service of the Piedmont from the provider network development department at The Guilford Center, where he specialized in developing substance abuse treatment programs in Guilford County. He has served as chief program officer since 2011 and has led the agency into integrated care, open access to services, and dual diagnosis treatment. He’s also assisted in the adoption of new best practices in Victim Services and Consumer Credit Counseling Services. Steve holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Stockton University in Galloway Township in New Jersey.

Becky Hunt

Chief Compliance Officer/Director of Human Resources, Grants and Contracts

Becky Hunt began with Family Service of the Piedmont as director of human resources in 2005. In 2010, she assumed the additional roles of compliance officer and grants and contracts. She has more than 20 years of experience in the human resources field in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors. Prior to joining Family Service she served as human resources director for a local biotech firm. Becky earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in both psychology and English from Wake Forest University.

Vonda Richey

Chief Financial Officer

Vonda Richey has over 20 years of accounting experience, with nonprofit accounting as her main area of expertise. Prior to joining Family Service of the Piedmont, Vonda served in the capacity of CFO and COO of nonprofits in NC and VA. Having a strong passion for serving the community and those in need, she has helped nonprofits overcome accounting and growth challenges throughout her career. Vonda holds a Bachelor of Science degree in account from University of North Carolina and a Non-Profit Management Certification from Duke University.

Heather Renshaw

Chief Advancement Officer

Heather Renshaw joined Family Service of the Piedmont in 2015 as Development Manager working with our boards and guilds on their fundraising efforts for the agency. In 2023, Heather was named Chief Advancement Officer overseeing all fundraising, marketing and communications for Family Service. She has more than 20 years of experience with various arts and human service nonprofit organizations in the Piedmont Triad. Heather earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Dr. Jason Jones

Medical Director

Dr. Jones is a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and has been the Medical Director of Family Service of the Piedmont since 2016. He provides medical leadership, clinical oversight, and supervision of behavioral health care providers. He has a passion for providing high quality services to historically underserved populations, based on a biopsychosocial framework of care delivered by an multidisciplinary team. Dr. Jones has worked in public, private, and academic settings since he finished his Child Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of Maryland in 2003. He completed his Psychiatry Residency at Brown University in 2001, and he graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine in 1998.

Stephen Fletcher

Director, Victim Services

Stephen started his career working in human services. He has demonstrated leadership working in the foster care system, juvenile justice reform, behavioral health and child victim services. Stephen is innovative and detail-oriented with proven knowledge of advocacy, program management, strategic partnerships and community outreach. He joined Family Service in September 2020 in the role of LGBTQ+ outreach specialist. He was promoted to Community Outreach Team program coordinator in the spring of 2021 and oversaw tremendous growth of that team, providing outreach, education and specialized advocacy services. Stephen earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Mars Hill University.

Andrea Huckabee

Director, Family Support Services

Andrea oversees in-home therapy, visitation and parenting education programs such as Healthy Start, Harmony House and The Incredible Years, as well as community-based programs and services for children and adults at the Fairview Family Resource Center in High Point. She is a licensed clinical social worker has a strong passion for community-based services and prevention. Andrea earned her bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and a joint master's degree in social work from North Carolina A&T State University and University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Tom Luzon

Director, Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Greater Greensboro

Tom Luzon began his career in the mortgage banking industry and since 2004 he has helped thousands of people with financial housing counseling. Tom joined Family Service of the Piedmont in 2015. He is a certified counselor through the National Foundation for Credit Counseling, a certified housing counselor through The Association of Housing Counselors, student loan certified trainer, NC reverse mortgage counselor, and a Housing and Urban Development certified reverse mortgage counselor. He is also HUD loss mitigation certified. Tom earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from The University of Nebraska-Omaha.

Justin Krick

Administrative Director

Justin Krick has served various supervisory roles at Family Service of the Piedmont since 2010. He works in concert with the Medical Director and clinical staff managing the day to day operations of the Division. He has provided leadership to staff in the Administrative and Intake Departments, as well as the Integrated Care and Dual Diagnosis Programs. He has been involved in implementing continuous quality improvement initiatives across the division. Justin is a graduate of Appalachian State University with an Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a concentration in Human Services.
