Established in 2008, the Junior Guild of Family Service of the Piedmont is a group of students from Triad-area high schools who support FSP through service projects and volunteerism. Each year, they spend thousands of hours serving their neighbors who are struggling with issues of domestic violence, child abuse, mental health issues, substance abuse and financial stability.
Some of the Junior Guild’s signature projects include preparing a Thanksgiving meal for residents of our Clara House shelter, hosting a baby shower to collect items for Healthy Start families and hosting/volunteering at a designated FSP fundraiser.
Membership
Students are eligible for membership once they enter their sophomore year, complete the membership form, sign the Code of Conduct and pay the membership fee. Membership is open year-round, but students are encouraged to sign up by October to get the full Junior Guild experience.
Meetings
Monthly meetings are held throughout the school year at Sherwood Swim and Racquet Club. Scroll down for a complete calendar of events.
